I'm so excited to share the cover of my new book with you!
Bruce Goes Outside follows on from my first book, Bruce Finds A Home. Written by award-winning author Kathryn van Beek (my mum!) and designed by award-winning book designer Anna Egan-Reid, this book explores the adventures I've had in my garden, in rhyming verse suitable for 3 - 6 year olds. Pre-sales will be available soon - watch this space! Praise for Bruce Finds A Home: "This is a wonderful addition to any child's bookshelf." - NZ Booklovers "This beautifully written story is sure to delight your children or grandchildren." - Motorhomes, Caravans and Destinations "It's a wonderful book, brilliantly illustrated - kids will absolutely adore this book." - The Beach 106.3FM

Breaking mews - pre-orders for my next book, Bruce Goes Outside, will be available soon!
WOW - my book Bruce Finds A Home is going to be part of the Little Landers Literature programme! Along with illustrator Robyn Belton (whose beautiful book The ANZAC Violin is in stores now), I'm going to be teaming up with The Highlanders to bring the joy of reading to Dunedin's children (well, mum is. She will probably leave me at home).
Visit the Otago Daily Times website to find out more about Little Landers Literature. Now that I have my own book out (Bruce Finds A Home), mum and dad have been going around schools and libraries to read it to children. But they never take me with them! Now they have two cute replicas to take along - one of me as a kitten and one of me as a grown-up. They were made by this clever lady. Aren't they cute?
![]() This week I'm giving away a copy of my full-colour, hardcover illustrated children's book 'Bruce Finds a Home'. The competition is open to everyone, anywhere in the world. To enter, head on over to Facebook and answer the easy quiz question. Click here to enter to win 'Bruce Finds a Home'. ![]() My story has been featured on all sorts of websites, but I never thought I'd be sharing my tale in the New Zealand Woman's Weekly! But my handsome face is featured three times in this week's edition. I have to say the photographer was a lot more professional than the usual amateurs (mum and dad) that I have to deal with. He did an excellent job capturing my sleek coat. (My mum's in the article too, but I think we all know who the real star of the show is.) Click here to find out more about 'Bruce Finds A Home'. What a purrrfect book launch it was at Dunedin's University Bookshop today! I was too busy napping to attend personally, but my stand-ins (the knitted toys pictured in the middle photo above) did a great job.
Bruce Finds A Home is now available in all good bookshops. You can also buy it online here: I had a pawsome Auckland book launch at The Dorothy Butler Book Shop last Sunday! I'm looking forward to the Dunedin launch at The University Book Shop this Saturday 17 February at 10.30am (all welcome). But where can you get my book if you don't live in Auckland or Dunedin? Well, you can get it at all good New Zealand bookshops ... and you can also buy it online! Too easy! Here are the stockists I'm currently aware of:
And of course you can buy it on this website (just click 'shop' on the top right). I hope to see some of you at my book launches!
